We scoured the web for the best doughnut cocktails in celebration of both National Doughnut Day and the clock’s quick ticking down to happy hour. So while you stuff your face with chocolate glazed goodness, check out these easy cocktail recipes that will help you keep the celebration going long after the clock reads 5 p.m.
The Cinnamon Doughnut
3/4 oz Crown Royal Deluxe Whisky
1 oz Iced coffee
Shake ingredients in a shaker filled with ice and strain into an ice-filled coffee mug. Garnish with a doughnut hole.
The Jelly Doughnut
2 oz Baileys Irish Cream
3/4 oz Chambord Raspberry Liqueur
Add Irish cream and Chambord to a rocks glass filled with ice. Stir and serve.
The Glazed Doughnut
1 oz Sweetened condensed milk
1/2 oz Butterscotch schnapps
1/4 oz Vanilla vodka
Combine ingredients in a shaker filled with ice. Shake and strain into a martini glass and serve with a dozen iced doughnuts.
The Chocolate Coffee Doughnut
1 oz Chocolate liqueur
1 oz Coffee liqueur
2 oz Iced coffee
Splash of hazelnut coffee creamer
Combine ingredients in a shaker with ice. Shake and strain into a chilled coffee mug.
The Sprinkled Doughnut
2 oz Cake-flavored vodka
1 oz Creme de cacao
3 oz Half-and-half
1/2 oz Simple syrup
Make the vanilla glaze (combine 1 cup confectioners sugar + 2- tablespoons milk + 1 teaspoon vanilla). Rim a rocks glass with the vanilla glaze, then roll in sprinkles.
Combine vodka, creme de cacao, simple syrup, vanilla and half-and-half in a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake, then strain into the prepared cocktail glass and serve.
