TGIF + National Piña Colada Day

Raise the roof

National Piña Colada Day got me like…

First of all, TGIF. Has this been a long week or WHAT? Luckily, today we get to celebrate Friday and National Piña Colada Day, which is basically the best summer Friday that ever existed. So to get your weekend started on the right foot, here are the 3 easy Piña Colada recipes you need to get through the weekend.

The Classic

2 oz Light rum (this one is on sale, and it’s really good)
1 oz Coconut cream
1 oz Heavy cream
6 oz Pineapple juice

Combine rum, pineapple juice, coconut and heavy cream in a blender. Add ½ cup crushed ice and blend until smooth. Serve in a hurricane glass garnished with a pineapple wedge and maraschino cherry, or in a cleaned out pineapple for classic Piña Colada enjoyment.

The Mexi-Colada

1½ oz Silver tequila (try this one)
1½ oz Coconut cream
3 oz Pineapple juice
Pineapple slices

Combine tequila, coconut cream and pineapple juice in a shaker filled with ice. Shake well and strain into a cocktail glass filled with ice. Garnish with a slice of pineapple.

The Peachy Colada

2 oz Coconut cream
1½ oz Pineapple juice
1½ oz Orange juice
1 cup Ice
9 Peach slices

Place all ingredients except one peach slice in a blender and blend until smooth. Pour into a hurricane glass and garnish with the remaining peach slice.
