Champagne Time

Champagne Haton Extra.jpgChampagne time is anytime, but even more so during the year-end holidays.

If there is one new Champagne to taste (or re-taste for some of us) this year, it has to be Haton Extra!

The house of Champagne Haton ranks 21st in Champagne by production size and has become the fastest growing Champagne brand on the US market in the last couple of years.

Father and son duo, Jean-Noël and Sébastien, third and fourth generation of Hatons are today at the reins of the family business and crafting some of the best Champagnes available.

At the beginning of 2000, the Hatons decided to develop a range of ultra-premium Champagnes that can compete in quality with the best names in the appellation. Haton Extra Brut and Haton Extra Brut Rosé were born.

Haton Extra Brut is a blend of 50% Pinot Noir and 50% Chardonnay.

Haton Extra Rose is a blend of 40% Chardonnay, 35% Pinot Noir, and 25% Pinot Meunier.

Aging is done the traditional way, “sur-latte,” and Haton Extra Champagne bottles are riddled by hand. The glass bottle itself was specifically manufactured for HATON Extra; the color of the glass is black therefore filtering out 100% of the harmful for the wine UV rays.

Haton Extra Champagnes are among the best that Champagne can offer but are priced at fraction of the cost of other top cuvees; Extra Brut comes in at $44.99, Extra Brut Rosé, $45.99. Haton Extra represent the best value in Champagne we have ever come across.
