A man-cave worthy pairing

I have enjoyed many different pairings involving cigars, beer, bourbon and wine. One of my most pleasurable experiences was pairing Camacho’s beautifully crafted American Barrel Aged cigar with the exquisite Kentucky Bourbon Barrel-Aged Ale.

This medium-bodied cigar draws nicely and burns evenly, and at first draw this piece of art tastes of the very fine bourbon of which it has been aged in the barrel of for 5 months. It includes excellent earthy flavors such as cedar and leather but the smoke pour is perfection.

I enjoy this cigar the most when I pair it with what I can only describe as one of the smoothest beers I have had the pleasure of tasting. This barrel-aged bourbon ale has the perfect blend of beer and bourbon notes. With an ABV of 8.2% this bourbon barrel-aged is one you want to finish to the last drop.

Something about both this cigar and beer being barrel aged has them complementing each other like barbecue and ribs. If you have not already tried these two masterpieces I recommend you do so as soon as possible.
