Drew Estate Takeover

JD.jpgOne of the great things about working for ABC Fine Wine & Spirits is being a part of all of the events we put on. There is nothing greater than spending a few hours mingling with a large number of our amazing guests. It gets even better when the event is focused on cigars. We held one of these cigar-centric events this past Thursday at our Ponte Vedra store and it was definitely a night to remember.

For the first time and definitely not the last, we all were treated with a visit from Drew Estate founder Jonathan Drew. Not only was it a first for us but it was also the first time that JD has been a part of an event in northeast Florida. The Drew Estate fans came out in large numbers and Mr. Drew didn’t disappoint the crowd. The event was scheduled from 6-9 p.m., but the turnout was so strong that JD stayed well after 10 p.m. just to make sure that everyone in attendance got a chance to visit with him and pick up some of his “special cigars.”

If you are a cigar smoker and enjoy smoking Drew Estate products, then attending one of these events is a definite bucket list item for you. Those in attendance are always treated to great music, high quality libations, and of course some of the best cigars on the planet.

One of things that I love most about Drew Estate is the unique culture that they have created not only with their cigars but also with their Subculture Studios artwork. No one ever leaves one of these shows without some amazing Drew swag.

JD Manifesto.jpgIt was also a special evening for those who are true bourbon fans. We had several bottles of Pappy Van Winkle and several lucky guests were able to leave with one in hand. Because Pappy is so limited and the only way to purchase it is through our statewide lottery system, having some bottles onsite gave everyone in attendance a more realistic shot at getting their hands on this “purple unicorn” of the whiskey world.

Another rare item given out at the Drew Estate takeover were their Manifesto cigars. These are limited production cigars that are not for sale and can only be procured at a Drew Estate function. These cigars were personally delivered to each guest by JD and it was certainly the highlight of the evening.

We are already planning our 2017 event so if you didn’t get a chance to be with us at this one, you will have another chance in the future. It is an experience that you don’t want to miss.
