Toast to the End of 2016

Everyone to 2016. Bye.

We know 2016 wasn’t exactly everyone’s favorite year. Which is why we’re prepared to celebrate the end of it. Bring on the New Year’s Eve parties, the commingling of friends and family, and couple of really, really good cocktails.

And since today is the penultimate day of the year, we’re sipping something delicate, seasonal, but definitely appropriate: a big Champagne cocktail. Because Champagne is the best celebration libation. Because the end of the year deserves something this delicious. Because we only have 2 days left in 2016, and by golly, we’re going to pop corks until we’re through.

Join us with your own Champagne cocktail or make what we’re drinking: The Poinsettia. Our recipe is for a big cocktail, but be sure to invite your friends over for one of their own and start your countdown to 2017 early: It’s T-40 hours until the New Year.

1/4 cup Three Olives Vodka
1/4 cup Champagne (try Haton)
1/2 cup Cranberry Juice
Crushed Ice
2 strips Orange Zest

Combine vodka, Champagne and juice in a large wine glass. Add crushed ice and stir until the mixture is well-chilled. Twist the orange strips over the glass and drop them in.
