5 Cocktails It’s OK to Cry into During the This Is Us Premiere

If you plan to throw a Pearson party, make sure you are fully hydrated and well stocked on tissues. Unless you skipped over the first season (if so, shame on you) it’s a bit obvious the Big Three are going to turn your get-together into a sob-fest. Don’t fret, the little scout in us is always prepared. Grab some potato chips and pretzels to pair with these salty cocktails that are perfectly OK to cry into. When someone catches you tearing up, just say your giving your drink a little extra flavor. NBD.

Jack 2

Jack’s Margarita

1 Lime
1 Lemon
1 ¼ oz Honey Simple Syrup (equal parts honey and water)
1 oz Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Honey
½ oz Cointreau
Sea Salt

In a shaker, add Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Honey, Cointreau, ice, honey simple syrup and juice of one lime and lemon. Shake and strain into a salt-rimmed margarita glass over fresh ice. Garnish with a lime wheel.

Rebecca’s Royal Caramel Apple

¾ oz Crown Royal Salted Caramel (It’s New!)
1 oz Crown Royal Regal Apple
½ of a Lemon, juiced
4 oz Ginger Ale
Fresh Apple Slices

Pour ingredients over ice and stir. Garnish with fresh apple slices.


Kevin’s Loaded Corona

1 bottle Corona
1 ¼ oz Tierra Fertil Tequila
1 Lime Wedge
Sea Salt

Pour the tequila into the Corona then top with a salt coated lime wedge.

Randall 2

Randall’s Memphis Michelada

BBQ Rub Salt
½ oz Fresh Lime Juice
4 oz Smoky Bloody Mary Mix
2 tsp Hot Sauce
1 bottle Modelo Especial

Fill BBQ salt-rimmed glass halfway with ice. Pour lime juice, bloody mary mix and hot sauce in the glass and stir. Top with Modelo Especial.

Kate’s Black & Gold Salty Dog

1 ½ oz 1941 Vodka
3 oz White Grapefruit Juice
Black Hawaiian Sea Salt

Rim a glass with salt. In a shaker with ice, add the vodka and grapefruit juice. Shake vigorously and pour into the rimmed glass over fresh ice.
