Today is a day that rivals all holidays, including St. Patrick’s Day. Today is National Margarita Day. Yep, you read that correctly:
National Margarita Day
And while you could spend your day sipping cheap, bottom shelf margs, we’ll be dancing around with a cocktail made from one of the best tequilas around: Casa Noble.
From seven generations of tequila makers, Jose “Pepe” Hermosillo founded Casa Noble in the 1990s. The brand’s roots, however, date back to the 1700s. “In the 1700s it was a taverna…basically what it supplied everybody in the region for the weekend–all the workers in the field and everything–they supplied all the workers a fun time,” Pepe said. Which is exactly what you want to hear on this day of days–Casa Noble’s roots are deep in the tradition of having a good time.
But having a foundation that is 200+ years old meant that, at 19 years old, Pepe was handed something he simply couldn’t screw up. “It is a lot of pressure–you don’t want to mess it up,” he said of how old his family’s distilling traditions are. “I took over the business when I was 19, which how do you say…going into it stupidly blind.” Since his taking the reigns, Pepe established his tequila in 38 countries around the world. He attributes his success to “blind luck,” but really, the truth is in the bottle.
Casa Noble Tequila is USDA Certified Organic and phenomenally smooth. Sip the Crystal for a fresh burst of agave, hints of citrus and a touch of spice. Aged for 364 days, the Reposado offers a full body and a complex palate. The Anejo is deeply golden in color with an aroma and flavor to match. And though it’s National Margarita Day and any of these would be incredible in the classic cocktail, they’re smooth enough to ditch the lime and sip solo.
Celebrate National Margarita Day any way you like–just make sure you celebrate with Casa Noble tequila.
