Cinco de Mayo is the holiday that really launches spring into summer—not only does it come in a month of college graduations and the eagerly anticipated arrival warm weather, but it is without a doubt the most colorful and celebrated of all holidays. Brightly hued margaritas, brazen beer labels, eye-catching snacks and patterned attire are a must for any good Cinco de Mayo fiesta—hang a piñata if you really want to get your amigos in the fiesta mood.
And as it is consistently on the list of the top five drinking holidays (ranked fourth behind St. Patrick’s Day, Carnival and Oktoberfest), it is our duty to take your party from a snooze-fest siesta to a muy bueno fiesta. Try these five Cinco-inspired cocktails at your Friday celebration and you’ll be dancing la cucaracha in two rattles of a cocktail shaker.

Combine ingredients in a large pitcher and stir. Rim glasses with lime juice and salt. Pour into flute and garnish with lime wedges.
1 Sugar Cube
2 tbsp Water
2 oz Casa Noble Reposado Tequila
Place sugar cube in a rocks glass. Add water and dissolve. Add bitters, then twist the orange peel in the glass and drop in. Muddle gently, then add ice to fill 1/3 of the glass. Add tequila and stir well. Drop cherry in and serve.
Pineapple Lime Margarita
Combine liquid ingredients in a shaker with ice. Shake and strain into a rocks glass filled with ice. Garnish with a lime wheel and pineapple wedge.
2 oz Tequila (we recommend Cuesta Mesa for this one)
2 oz Grapefruit Juice
Combine tequila and grapefruit juice in a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake and strain into a highball, rocks or copper mug. Add ice and top with ginger beer.
1.5 oz Tequila
0.75 oz Blood Orange Liqueur
0.5 oz Lime Juice, fresh
1 oz Pink Grapefruit Juice, fresh
0.5 oz Simple Syrup
Lime Wheel, for garnish
Add silver tequila, blood orange liqueur, lime juice, pink grapefruit juice and simple syrup to a mixing glass. Fill the mixing glass with ice, and shake about 20-30 seconds. Strain the margarita into a glass and garnish with a lime wheel.
